MAXIMIZE YOUR OUTPUT
The HD1521 incorporates the latest in Class-D amplifier technology to deliver a chest-pounding 1600W of peak system power. Both internal amps are designed using Mackie’s legendary Fast Recovery™ circuitry. Other amplifiers can “latch” when pushed to clipping, leading to distorted audio, but Fast Recovery™ amplification reacts instantly to the occasional aggressive transient, drastically reducing the time it takes for the amp to recover, ensuring clean audio under the most demanding of situations.
This potent bi-amplified system is the highest powered 2-way available in its class, providing a beefy 700W RMS low-frequency amplifier and a 100W RMS high-frequency amplifier that, when combined, can deliver a max SPL up to 135dB (calculated, measured maximum SPL of 125dB). There is a lot of debate regarding SPL measurements, and what you see on paper doesn’t always tell the whole story. To forever eliminate confusion and prove that Mackie is dedicated to providing real, testable specs, we have worked up a handy (and somewhat nerdy) guide to the shady world of SPL measurements: Will the Real Maximum SPL Please Stand Up?
Measurements and calculators aside, it only takes one listen to know that the HD1521 delivers more bang for your buck that any other portable 2-way loudspeaker out there.
DEFINE THE EXPERIENCE
Mackie created the “Active” electronics game long ago, incorporating precision crossovers and transducer time/phase alignment processing into the loudspeaker. This instantly took the guesswork out of setting up a perfectly tuned system and the world of loudspeakers irreversibly changed. HD Series High-Definition Powered Loudspeakers not only advance Active technology, they take it to an entirely new level, marking the next major advancement for powered loudspeakers: High-Definition Live Sound.
Even the most expensive loudspeakers on the market have inherent sonic issues that arise from the very nature of loudspeaker design. Horn-loaded drivers tend to have a “honkiness” to them and there are physical resonances in the upper range of cone drivers that can sound nasty.
Introducing Mackie High-Definition Audio Processing. The key to high-definition live sound is the detailed measurement and analysis of the inherent problems of horns and woofers. After that, the creation and application of some seriously NASA-esque (and patented) acoustic correction algorithms work to correct these very issues. The resulting experience is not only high-definition, it is truly a moment of clarity for anyone within earshot.

Live Digital Mixing
Control Your Sound Your Way!
With a PreSonus StudioLive-series digital mixer, you not only get high-end sound and tremendous processing, mixing, and recording power, you can control all of this sonic might from virtually anywhere. Want to touch your mix with the physical feedback of real faders and rotary knobs and an intuitive, analog-like user interface? The StudioLive delivers big time; sound people who have only mixed with analog boards quickly become comfortable working with a StudioLive.
Despite its analog-like mixing surface, however, this is very much a digital console, and it offers features no analog mixer—and very few digital boards—can match. For example, the ability to control the StudioLive mixer from a laptop adds tremendous flexibility and convenience—and with the bundled Virtual StudioLive bidirectional control/editor/librarian software, you get it all for free. Add third-party VPN software, and you can even control StudioLive mixers over the Internet—ideal for contractors. To get a competing mixer with computer control even close to this complete, you'd have to pay several times as much.
So far, so good—if you work from the mixing station. But if you could also walk around a venue or recording studio and remain in control of your mixer using a wireless iPad, that would really be sweet! Done, with PreSonus' free StudioLive Remote for iPad. StudioLive Remote is easy to use, provides control of almost every feature of the StudioLive, and looks and feels like an iPad app should.
We've given you a lot of sonic control with the StudioLive, Virtual StudioLive, and StudioLive Remote. It's only fair that we help you give the band control of their sound, too. With PreSonus' free QMix, each band member can control their own StudioLive aux (monitor) mix from an iPhone or iPod touch. You can even set permissions to ensure that the bass player, always the practical joker, can't mess with the hot-tempered lead singer's monitor mix. Otherwise, that bass player is going to get in trouble someday. We're just sayin'….
The level of control you get with PreSonus StudioLive-series mixers is beyond cool—it's absolutely ice! Now you can control your sound from anywhere you choose—no limits! Only with PreSonus StudioLive.
A gigantic console in a small package thanks to the Fat Channel.
If StudioLive were an analog console, it would have 4-foot-long channel strips packed with knobs and buttons or it would require a massive outboard rack of expensive signal processors! That's because each channel has its own compressor, limiter, gate, 4-band semi-parametric equalizer, and high-pass filter. In all, we've packed 31 compressors, 31 limiters, 31 gates, 16 high-pass filters, and more, into one remarkable Fat Channel.
The StudioLive 16.4.2's 4 dual, 31-band graphic equalizers can be applied to the main, subgroup, and aux outputs so you can compensate for room acoustics, speaker response, and much more. Furthermore, with new Smart Measurement Technology™, you'll be able to really put StudioLive's graphic EQ to work improving the sound of your P.A. Precisely identify nasty feedback frequencies. Get your loudspeakers to play nicer with the room they're in — all without having a degree in acoustical engineering.
This board is quite often seen on band ryders. The LS9 series consoles follow in the distinguished footsteps of the Yamaha PM1D, PM5D, and M7CL, expanding Yamaha's digital mixing console lineup for live sound and installations. The LS9 series consists of the 32-mic/line input 64-channel LS9-32, and the 16-mic/line input 32 channel LS9-16. While being compact and light enough for one person to move and set up easily, both models include features that have been field-proven in previous Yamaha digital consoles as well as outstanding sonic quality. In addition to an extensive range of gating, compression, and equalization capabilities, there's also a built-in USB memory recorder/player for recording or BGM playback, and other functionality that give you everything you need for small to medium scale live sound or installed applications in remarkably compact, all-in-one consoles.
